Why Waddington properties need jet washing

Waddington has grown a lot because of RAF Waddington, and it now has a mix of older properties and large modern estates. The village sits up on the Lincoln Cliff, which drains far better than the fens, but the wind up there blows moss onto roofs from every side. On the valley side, clay soil washes onto drives and paths after heavy rain and leaves muddy stains.

Jet washing in Waddington by Fenland Property Care

The older houses along the high street and the RAF-era estates have quite different surfaces, so we treat each one differently.

Clay on the drive

Up on the Cliff, westerly winds carry soil from the farmland onto outside surfaces in Waddington all year. So we pre-treat to lift that clay staining from stone and block paving before the jet wash.

✗

Muddy stains

After heavy rain, clay washes onto drives on the valley side.

✗

Wind-blown moss

Moss blows in from every side, so it settles on paving and walls.

✗

If paths get slick

Algae on paths is slippery after rain, though a treatment and then a wash at the right pressure clear it.

✗

Greasy film

Some drives pick up a greasy film, which a degreaser lifts before washing.

Jet washing in Waddington

Below are the outside surfaces we clean most around the village.

Drives

Block paving, tarmac, concrete or stone, at whatever pressure suits.

Patios and paths

Patios and paths washed without lifting joints.

Walls and fences

Rendered and brick walls, plus timber fencing too.

Steps and doorways

Algae cleared off steps and the paths to the door.

Garage floors

Garage floors, whether inside or outside, get a degreaser and then a pressure clean.

Decking

Decking is cleaned at low pressure, because timber and composite both scuff under high pressure.

What happens when we jet wash in Waddington

Surface assessment

Before anything else, we check each surface and choose a pressure and detergent.

Pre-treatment

Then the pre-treatment goes on to loosen clay, grease or growth.

Pressure washing

After that, we jet wash each area at a setting it can handle.

Post-clean treatment

If moss is likely to blow back in, a biocide goes on to slow it.

We work all over Waddington, and also in the villages and towns nearby.

Waddington jet washing questions

Q: Do you treat for aviation fuel deposits on properties near RAF Waddington?

A: Yes. If you live downwind of RAF Waddington, you may notice a greasy film on your paving, so we use a degreasing pre-treatment before we wash.

Q: Which pressure suits clay-stained block paving?

A: Block paving can take more than old stone. Delicate stone gets around 1,500 psi, while hard concrete can take 3,000 psi or more.

Q: Do you clean decking too?

A: Yes, at low pressure, so timber and composite keep their grain.

Q: Will oil come out of a drive?

A: Usually, because a degreaser goes on first and shifts far more than pressure alone.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The operative arrived on time, as arranged. Brought the necessary kit to clean an accumulation of dirt, weeds and debris over several years from our drive and patio. This was accomplished by the end of the working day when all was looking pristine. Surfaces had been cleaned down. A week later they were back to fill the gaps with kiln dried sand and now it looks like new.

My front and back garden look brand new. All slabs are the original colour and weedless and the front is weed free and looks amazing. They worked really hard throughout the day and also returned to finish the work, due to really hot weather. Very good customer service, had a concer and called me back within 30 minutes. Would definitely recommend 👌

From start to finish what an absolute pleasure.
No pushy salesman just an authentic genuine quote. Even when I added a couple of bits, nothing was too much trouble. The price was really good too.
Paul and Dale turned up on time on the date stated. Even though the weather was horrible they got cracked on with the job.
They grafted all the time they were there. The work carried out was exceptionally good. They cleaned up all of the mess afterwards and let the place spotless.
I cannot praise them enough.
They treated my mum and her bungalow with the utmost respect.
