Usually every 3–5 years. Our biocide treatment slows regrowth, so most roofs stay clean for 2–5 years. North-facing and tree-shaded roofs may need treatment sooner.
Results typically last 2–5 years. That depends on roof type, how much shade it gets and nearby trees. The biocide keeps working after we leave, killing spores that would otherwise regrow.
Not with our method. We don’t use high-pressure jets on roofs, because they can crack tiles and wash out pointing, and they force water under the tiles. We soft wash at low pressure with a specialist biocide, which is safe on concrete and clay tiles and on slate.
