Why Bourne properties need conservatory cleaning

Bourne is where the fen meets the higher limestone ground of Kesteven, and conservatories here get a fair bit of damp. Algae and moss build up on the roof over a season or two, and the glass and uPVC start to look green and streaked. Box gutters fill up as well, and a blocked one is a common cause of leaks.

Conservatory cleaning in Bourne by Fenland Property Care

Where fen meets limestone

Conservatory roofs on the fen side of Bourne take longer to dry, especially in winter. So debris and algae settle in the box gutters and along the glazing, then the drainage blocks and the frames get marked.

✗

When leaves block the gutter

If the box gutter clogs, rainwater sits there and eventually gets into the room.

✗

Green glazing

Algae turns the roof green and takes the brightness out of the conservatory.

✗

Streaked frames

Frames and finials go grey-green over a few seasons when they are not washed.

✗

Fragile, so stay off

You can't safely climb a conservatory roof, because there is a real chance of cracking a panel or slipping off.

How conservatory cleaning in Bourne works

Assessment

Initially we look over the roof type, frames and box gutter, so we can plan safe access.

Roof first

Then we wash the glazing and clear debris out of the box gutter.

Then the frames

Following that, the uPVC frames and side glass are washed and left bright.

Final check

Lastly we check that the gutter drains and nothing is holding water.

Conservatory cleaning in Bourne, your questions

Q: Does the clean also cover the roof panels?

A: It does, so we clean the roof panels, glass or polycarbonate, plus the frames and windows, and we clear out the box gutter too.

Q: Could my leak just be a blocked gutter?

A: It often is, and we clear the box gutter during the clean. If anything else looks wrong, we will tell you so you can get it seen to.

Q: Will you climb onto the conservatory?

A: No. The roof is fragile, so instead of climbing on we work from the ground with reach-and-wash poles.

Q: Can you clean the roof from inside?

A: We focus on the exterior. Still, where the inside glass is safe to reach, we can discuss it.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The operative arrived on time, as arranged. Brought the necessary kit to clean an accumulation of dirt, weeds and debris over several years from our drive and patio. This was accomplished by the end of the working day when all was looking pristine. Surfaces had been cleaned down. A week later they were back to fill the gaps with kiln dried sand and now it looks like new.

My front and back garden look brand new. All slabs are the original colour and weedless and the front is weed free and looks amazing. They worked really hard throughout the day and also returned to finish the work, due to really hot weather. Very good customer service, had a concer and called me back within 30 minutes. Would definitely recommend 👌

From start to finish what an absolute pleasure.
No pushy salesman just an authentic genuine quote. Even when I added a couple of bits, nothing was too much trouble. The price was really good too.
Paul and Dale turned up on time on the date stated. Even though the weather was horrible they got cracked on with the job.
They grafted all the time they were there. The work carried out was exceptionally good. They cleaned up all of the mess afterwards and let the place spotless.
I cannot praise them enough.
They treated my mum and her bungalow with the utmost respect.
