Why Cherry Willingham properties need conservatory cleaning

Cherry Willingham sits on flat, open land east of Lincoln, on heavy clay. Conservatories here get little shelter and the damp hangs about after rain, so algae and moss soon build up and the glass and uPVC go green and streaky. A blocked box gutter is one of the commonest reasons conservatories in the village start to leak.

Conservatory cleaning in Cherry Willingham by Fenland Property Care

No shelter from the wind

Plenty of conservatories in Cherry Willingham face open ground with nothing to break the wind. So dirt and algae settle on the roof and in the box gutter, then the water backs up and stains the frames.

✗

Gutter full, water in

Debris packs the box gutter until rain spills over, and then damp shows up inside.

✗

Green glazing

Once algae covers the roof, far less light reaches the room underneath.

✗

Streaked frames

Grey-green streaks creep over the frames and finials if they are never washed.

✗

Please don't climb up

Conservatory panels are brittle, so standing on one to clean it can crack the roof or send you through it.

Roof glazing

Algae and moss come off the glass or polycarbonate, so you get your daylight back.

Box gutter by the wall

When the hidden box gutter clogs it is usually behind a leak, so we clear it every time.

Frames and finials

We soft wash the uPVC frames, then the ridges and finials, until they are white again.

Glass cleaning

Outside glass cleaned streak-free, although inside panels are only by arrangement.

Moss removal

Moss scraped out along the glazing bars as well as the roof joints.

While we're there

Also add the windows and roofline to the visit if you want them done.

How conservatory cleaning in Cherry Willingham works

Assessment

Before cleaning we check the roof, frames and box gutter and decide how to reach them safely.

Then the roof

The glazing is washed next while the box gutter is cleared.

Frames after that

Then the frames and side glass are washed until they dry bright.

Final check

Finally we check the gutter drains so the rain gets away.

Conservatory cleaning questions from Cherry Willingham

Q: Is the roof cleaned as well as the windows?

A: Yes, so you get the glass or polycarbonate roof done along with the frames and windows, and we clear the box gutter too.

Q: Could a blocked gutter explain my leak?

A: It often does, and we clear the box gutter during the clean anyway. If something else looks wrong, then we will tell you.

Q: Will someone walk on my conservatory roof?

A: No, because the roof is fragile, so we clean it with reach-and-wash poles while standing on the ground.

Q: Do you clean inside the roof as well?

A: We focus on the outside, but where inside glass is safe to reach we can discuss it with you.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The operative arrived on time, as arranged. Brought the necessary kit to clean an accumulation of dirt, weeds and debris over several years from our drive and patio. This was accomplished by the end of the working day when all was looking pristine. Surfaces had been cleaned down. A week later they were back to fill the gaps with kiln dried sand and now it looks like new.

My front and back garden look brand new. All slabs are the original colour and weedless and the front is weed free and looks amazing. They worked really hard throughout the day and also returned to finish the work, due to really hot weather. Very good customer service, had a concer and called me back within 30 minutes. Would definitely recommend 👌

From start to finish what an absolute pleasure.
No pushy salesman just an authentic genuine quote. Even when I added a couple of bits, nothing was too much trouble. The price was really good too.
Paul and Dale turned up on time on the date stated. Even though the weather was horrible they got cracked on with the job.
They grafted all the time they were there. The work carried out was exceptionally good. They cleaned up all of the mess afterwards and let the place spotless.
I cannot praise them enough.
They treated my mum and her bungalow with the utmost respect.
