On damp fen ground by the Welland, gutter cleaning in Spalding is something to keep up with. We clear gutters for homes and businesses in the town.
Spalding is in the middle of the South Lincolnshire fens, on deep peat soil with drainage channels all around, and algae and moss grow fast on everything outside. Drives and patios on the town’s terraces and newer estates pick up a dark stain from the peaty soil that you don’t really see elsewhere in Lincolnshire. With the River Welland running through, render and brickwork go green quicker than in the higher parts of the county.
Street trees in Spalding and leaves blown off the farmland fill gutters every autumn. Once one blocks, it backs up and spills down walls and onto paths, often before you'd spot anything from indoors.
