Right beside the Witham, moss grows fast, so jet washing in Washingborough always comes with a treatment. We clean drives, patios and walls.
Washingborough sits right on the River Witham, just east of Lincoln, and having the river so close makes it one of the dampest Lincoln suburbs for green growth. Houses near the water get moss and algae on drives and render quickly. The older riverside homes and the newer estates both get the usual clay-belt grime, but the extra damp from the Witham means it comes back faster than in drier places.
Old riverside houses and terraces need a different approach from the modern estates, so we look at each one before we start.
The river keeps Washingborough damp, so green growth returns on old stone in the village centre and on newer block paving alike. The two need different pressure settings and pre-treatments, so we adjust for each.
Old village stone and newer paving react differently to pressure, so in Washingborough we set it for each surface and nothing is scoured.
Older stone gets a softer wash than modern block paving.
