Close to the Ancholme, paving rarely dries, so patio cleaning in Brigg is mostly a fight with moss. We clean each surface the right way, then treat it so it lasts.
Brigg is an old market town on the River Ancholme in north Lincolnshire, and being so close to the water means a lot of properties stay damp. Moss and algae grow faster here than in drier places inland. The Victorian and Edwardian terraces get heavy growth, and houses near the Ancholme navigation are damper still. The Humber estuary isn’t far from Brigg either, which adds to the damp.
Down in the lower part of Brigg, close to the Ancholme, patios tend to stay wet. Then in sheltered spots, north-facing stone and concrete can grow a thick mat of moss.
We get the patio clean and safe to walk on, then put down a biocide so algae takes much longer to return.
We decide how to clean once we've seen the surface, so it comes up well without damage.
Every job is also covered by £1m public liability insurance.
