Why Saxilby properties need solar panel cleaning

Solar panels in Saxilby are in low, damp country. The village is north-west of Lincoln on the Fossdyke canal, out towards the Trent, and the moisture off the water means grime tends to stick to the glass. Bird mess and moss run-off from the roof add to it. Output slips a bit at a time until the panels are cleaned.

When damp makes grime stick

Beside the Fossdyke in Saxilby, panels stay damp for longer, so a film builds up that cuts generation. A pure-water clean takes it off, then the cells get their full light back.

✗

Lost generation

Thin as it is, a coat of dust and pollen holds back a fair share of what the panels could make.

✗

Bird droppings

Droppings sit over cells and block them, and since they’re acidic they may etch the glass in time.

✗

Moss run-off

Rain carries moss and muck off the tiles above, so streaks end up shading the array.

✗

Warranty care

Pressure washing or rough pads risk damaging panels, so pure water is the only thing we use on them.

Solar panel cleaning services in Saxilby

Here’s what goes into a panel clean in Saxilby.

Pure-water cleaning

We wash the glass using soft brushes and de-ionised water, and it dries with no smears or scratches.

Mess and nests cleared

Bird droppings and nesting debris are lifted off gently, because they shade the cells and mark the glass.

Run-off washed away

Moss and algae that have trickled down from the tiles get cleared off the panels too.

Working from the ground

With reach and wash poles fed by pure water, we can usually clean without setting foot on the roof.

Output-loss check

If it helps, we’ll also give you a rough idea of the generation the soiling is likely costing you.

Frames and surround

Panel frames get cleaned, and so does the roof right around them.

How solar panel cleaning in Saxilby works

Safe assessment

Before any water goes on, we look at access and soiling and settle on the safest way to clean.

Pure-water wash

Panels then get de-ionised water and soft brushes, worked from the ground whenever that’s possible.

Rinse and check

Afterwards a pure-water rinse lets the glass dry clear and spot-free.

Done safely

There are no harsh chemicals and nothing that scratches, and we keep off the roof unless it’s unavoidable.

Saxilby and the surrounding villages

We clean panels throughout Saxilby, and also in nearby villages such as Sturton by Stow and the rest listed here.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Is a clean going to raise my output?

A: Usually it will. Dirt, droppings and moss run-off cut generation, so once the glass is clear the cells get the light again.

Q: Is there any risk to my panels?

A: No, because we stick to pure de-ionised water and soft brushes. High pressure and abrasive pads are never used.

Q: How often should I book a clean?

A: Once a year is generally right. Panels near trees, or anywhere birds gather, may need doing more often than that.

Q: Do you need to climb onto the roof?

A: In most cases no, since our water-fed reach poles work from the ground.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The operative arrived on time, as arranged. Brought the necessary kit to clean an accumulation of dirt, weeds and debris over several years from our drive and patio. This was accomplished by the end of the working day when all was looking pristine. Surfaces had been cleaned down. A week later they were back to fill the gaps with kiln dried sand and now it looks like new.

My front and back garden look brand new. All slabs are the original colour and weedless and the front is weed free and looks amazing. They worked really hard throughout the day and also returned to finish the work, due to really hot weather. Very good customer service, had a concer and called me back within 30 minutes. Would definitely recommend 👌

From start to finish what an absolute pleasure.
No pushy salesman just an authentic genuine quote. Even when I added a couple of bits, nothing was too much trouble. The price was really good too.
Paul and Dale turned up on time on the date stated. Even though the weather was horrible they got cracked on with the job.
They grafted all the time they were there. The work carried out was exceptionally good. They cleaned up all of the mess afterwards and let the place spotless.
I cannot praise them enough.
They treated my mum and her bungalow with the utmost respect.
