Wind off the fields drops soil on every Caistor drive, so our tarmac cleaning in Caistor is busy with homes and businesses all year.
Caistor is one of Lincolnshire’s oldest market towns, with Roman roots and a spot high on the edge of the Wolds that looks out across the Humber plain. Up on the escarpment it’s more exposed to wind than most places round here, and soil off the surrounding fields ends up on drives and paths all year. The old stone and brick buildings in the centre need a gentler approach than a modern driveway, so we match the method to what we’re cleaning.
Up on the Wolds edge, driveways in Caistor catch a lot of wind, and with it the soil blown off the fields around the town. That dust works into tarmac, holds on to moisture and gives algae something to grow on. A proper clean gets it back out of the surface.
Caistor is more exposed than most places round here, so drives carry more blown soil and we adjust the clean to suit.
A modern drive is treated differently from tarmac near the old stone buildings, since each needs its own approach.
We're also covered by £1m public liability insurance on every Caistor job.
