Why Cherry Willingham properties need moss removal

Cherry Willingham is a village on the flat land just east of Lincoln, near the River Witham. The ground is heavy clay, and roofs and paths in shade can stay wet for days after rain. Moss removal in Cherry Willingham is mostly roofs and garden paving. Moss holds water against tiles and slabs. On the roof that means lifted tiles, and on the path it means a slip risk.

Moss removal in Cherry Willingham by Fenland Property Care

When clay ground keeps things wet

Clay ground and open, flat land around Cherry Willingham mean shaded roofs and paving dry out slowly. Moss moves in and keeps those surfaces damp, which damages them over time.

✗

Tiles lifting

Moss roots creep under tiles and into pointing, then water follows them in.

✗

Slippery paving

A green path or patio is a slip risk, especially on a damp autumn morning.

✗

Trapped damp

Because moss holds water in a slab or tile, frost then breaks it up faster.

✗

Blocked drainage

Loose moss also washes into the gutters, so they back up when it rains.

Frequently asked questions

Q: How quickly does moss return?

A: Slowly, because the treatment knocks it back. Even so, roofs that stay damp on clay ground may need retreating occasionally.

Q: Can you clear roof moss from the ground?

A: Mostly, yes. We use ladders and long-reach tools, so usually nobody needs to go up on the roof.

Q: Is moss harmful to a house?

A: Yes. It holds water and lifts tiles and pointing, and it also makes paving slippery. So clearing it is safer and better for the building.

Q: How do I get a price?

A: Use our instant quote page or ring us on 07507 732952, then we'll talk you through it.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The operative arrived on time, as arranged. Brought the necessary kit to clean an accumulation of dirt, weeds and debris over several years from our drive and patio. This was accomplished by the end of the working day when all was looking pristine. Surfaces had been cleaned down. A week later they were back to fill the gaps with kiln dried sand and now it looks like new.

My front and back garden look brand new. All slabs are the original colour and weedless and the front is weed free and looks amazing. They worked really hard throughout the day and also returned to finish the work, due to really hot weather. Very good customer service, had a concer and called me back within 30 minutes. Would definitely recommend 👌

From start to finish what an absolute pleasure.
No pushy salesman just an authentic genuine quote. Even when I added a couple of bits, nothing was too much trouble. The price was really good too.
Paul and Dale turned up on time on the date stated. Even though the weather was horrible they got cracked on with the job.
They grafted all the time they were there. The work carried out was exceptionally good. They cleaned up all of the mess afterwards and let the place spotless.
I cannot praise them enough.
They treated my mum and her bungalow with the utmost respect.
