Why Metheringham properties need conservatory cleaning

Metheringham sits on the fen edge south-east of Lincoln, just down the road from us in Dunston. Conservatories here pick up the damp, so the roof and frames soon gather algae and moss and the glass and uPVC go green. Blocked box gutters cause a lot of the leaks we’re asked to look at locally.

Conservatory cleaning in Metheringham by Fenland Property Care

Fen-edge damp on the roof

Damp air off the fen keeps conservatory roofs in Metheringham wet for longer than you'd like. So algae and leaves fill the box gutters until the water can't get away, and then the frames get marked.

✗

Blocked box gutter

If leaves fill the box gutter, rain can't drain and it starts coming in.

✗

Green glazing

As algae covers the roof, the light in the room drops off.

✗

Streaked frames

Frames and finials turn grey-green when they go too long between washes.

✗

Don't risk the ladder

Conservatory roofs aren't strong enough to stand on, so climbing up yourself can crack a panel or cause a fall.

Conservatory cleaning in Metheringham, common questions

Q: Do you clean the roof as well as the windows?

A: Yes, so the glass or polycarbonate roof is cleaned along with the frames and windows, and we clear the box gutter.

Q: Why is my conservatory letting water in?

A: Often because the box gutter is blocked, so we clear it as part of the clean. If anything else looks wrong, we'll tell you.

Q: Will you walk on the roof?

A: No. Since the roof is fragile, we clean from the ground with reach-and-wash poles.

Q: Is inside the roof something you clean?

A: We focus on the exterior, but if inside glass is safe to reach we can talk about it.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The operative arrived on time, as arranged. Brought the necessary kit to clean an accumulation of dirt, weeds and debris over several years from our drive and patio. This was accomplished by the end of the working day when all was looking pristine. Surfaces had been cleaned down. A week later they were back to fill the gaps with kiln dried sand and now it looks like new.

My front and back garden look brand new. All slabs are the original colour and weedless and the front is weed free and looks amazing. They worked really hard throughout the day and also returned to finish the work, due to really hot weather. Very good customer service, had a concer and called me back within 30 minutes. Would definitely recommend 👌

From start to finish what an absolute pleasure.
No pushy salesman just an authentic genuine quote. Even when I added a couple of bits, nothing was too much trouble. The price was really good too.
Paul and Dale turned up on time on the date stated. Even though the weather was horrible they got cracked on with the job.
They grafted all the time they were there. The work carried out was exceptionally good. They cleaned up all of the mess afterwards and let the place spotless.
I cannot praise them enough.
They treated my mum and her bungalow with the utmost respect.
